Introduction
The 23rd Annual Engineers’ Day 2026, organised by the Engineers Registration Board (ERB), brought together engineers, students, contractors and industry professionals from across Tanzania to discuss the future of engineering.
Held from 23 to 25 September 2026 at Mlimani City Complex, Dar es Salaam, the event focused on the theme “Leveraging Engineering Innovation and Digital Transformation for Sustainable Development.”
Reed Engineering was proud to participate in the event, connecting with engineering professionals and showcasing practical solutions for Tanzania’s mining, industrial and energy sectors.

What Reed Engineering Showcased?
At the exhibition, Reed Engineering presented solutions from three of its manufacturing partners: Scamont Engineering, Indef (Bajaj) and REMA TIP TOP.
1. Mine Dewatering Solutions.
Water management is an important requirement for many mining operations, particularly during periods of heavy rainfall and in areas where water ingress affects working conditions.
Reed Engineering showcased Scamont Engineering‘s pumping solutions for mine dewatering, highlighting equipment designed to help mining operations manage water-related challenges on site.
2. Lifting and Material Handling.
Reed Engineering also showcased Indef (Bajaj) lifting and material handling equipment.
Hoists and cranes play an important role in workshops, plants and maintenance environments, where teams regularly need to safely move heavy equipment, machinery and components.

3. Conveyor Repair and Lining Solutions.
The third focus was REMA TIP TOP, featuring conveyor belt repair materials and rubber lining solutions.
Mining and industrial equipment can experience significant abrasion and impact during operation. REMA TIP TOP solutions can be used for applications involving conveyor repair and wear protection for areas such as chutes, hoppers and pipes.

Connecting with Tanzania’s Engineering Community :
A key part of the event was meeting engineers, contractors, students and other industry professionals.
Discussions at the Reed Engineering stand covered practical site challenges, including water ingress, conveyor downtime and equipment wear. These conversations highlighted the importance of selecting solutions based on the specific operating environment, equipment requirements and maintenance needs of each site.
For Reed Engineering, participating in industry events provides an opportunity to listen to customers and understand where reliable products, local supply and technical support can add value.

Looking Ahead :
The 23rd Annual Engineers’ Day 2026 was an opportunity for Reed Engineering to connect with Tanzania’s engineering community, showcase its solutions and gain a better understanding of the challenges faced by professionals across the mining and industrial sectors.
Reed Engineering looks forward to continuing to support Tanzania’s engineering, mining and industrial sectors through trusted international products, local supply and technical expertise.
